Meet Tom Wilson: The Daniel Plan Fitness Coach


Tom Wilson has been involved in the field of strength and conditioning for more than 32 years. He obtained his certification (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) in 1986.

Tom founded and continues to lead Saddleback Church's Walk and Worship Ministry and is also Pastor Rick's personal trainer!

Tom began his career by graduating from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Exercise Science in 1982. From there, he worked with the University of Nebraska football team as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for five years.

In 1983, Tom accepted the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Iowa State University. While working with the Cyclones, Tom also worked as a consultant to the California Angels minor league system for eight years. In 1994, he accepted the Head Strength and Conditioning position with the California/Anaheim Angels major league team.

After four years with the Angels, Tom began working as an independent strength and conditioning coach and continues to train numerous professional athletes in the Orange County, California area.

He's acquired international experience working in the countries of Japan and Taiwan, lecturing to numerous baseball teams as well as sports related colleges.

Tom now owns and operates Solid Rock Workouts located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. His experience and relationships with a wide range of athletes from all sports and levels of competition as well as his ties to the sport nutrition world have established Tom as one of the most respected coaches in his profession.
