Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever.  —1 Timothy 4:8 MSG

Picture yourself Daniel Strong—physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually fit. Really picture yourself—what would your body look like? Who are the people you would be standing with? What are your relationships like? What would spiritual fitness enable you to do?

The way to get there is to set goals for yourself. Goals are the steps we take each day, week, and month to get from where we are today to the future we dream of having. Goals are part of the disciplined life the Bible speaks of. What steps can you take each day that will add up to a disciplined spiritual life? What would discipline look like elsewhere in your life?

God wants you to be all that he’s created you to be. He’s right alongside you, empowering and encouraging you. What are the small steps of discipline that he’s inviting you into today?

Food for Thought: A disciplined life in God will make you physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually fit, fulfilling your desires and enabling you to walk the path God desires for you.
