By his power, God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. —1 Corinthians 6:14 NIV
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, God is going to raise your body from the dead when Jesus comes back. This means your body matters to God as much as your soul does right now.
God designed you to have a body, and it is of immense value to him.
No earthly parent would say that she cares about her child’s soul but not his body. She counts the child’s fingers and toes, and treasures every feature of his face.
Your heavenly Father loves you more than any earthly parent, and he cherishes every part of your body.
Your current body is also like a church, a holy house for the Holy Spirit. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” (1 Corinthians 6:19).
Your body is precious to God. How are you moved to take care of it today?
