Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. —Isaiah 12:2

Scott Kretchmarprofessor of Exercise and Sports Science at Penn State says, “When movement is experienced as joy, it adorns our lives, makes our days go better, and gives us something to look forward to.

When movement is joyful and meaningful, it may even inspire us to do things we never thought possible.” God wants to take you on a journey toward experiencing movement as joy. He wants to lead you to a place where you revel in what your muscles can do, where every time you lift or bend or stride you can say, “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done” (Isaiah 12:4 NIV)!

When you get to a place where movement is joyful for you, you’ll be amazed at what you’ll be inspired to do. Let his joy propel you there.

Food for Thought: You can get to a place where you experience movement as joy and offer it to God as praise.
